Spectra are as awful as it sounds. Maybe you're talking about different release?Solid Sessions Feat. Pronti & Kalmani - JaneiroIt looks similar. Didn't check that one yet, though. It's no mastering or 'special method' + unknown glitch. It shows a clear trace of lossy compression, mp3 or like - not just a cutoff, but also granularity due to selective throwing off of spectral components. I haven't tried to study amplitudes at different frequencies, these may be coarse too (mp3 gives fewer bits for highs & lows).Sone HF splashhes look untipical for mp3 (there can be some, but usually they look different), so there could be some downmixing after lossy compression. Anyway, this shouldn't happen at any producing stage, so it doesn't justify such decision or mistake. It clearly IS a result of conversion from poor quality lossy compressed file. Except for #5.
Most likely, this error. Spectra of tracks the excellent. You used what program? Programs too make mistakes. Probably tracks have been written down by a special method - and it has caused a program error. And subjective perception on hearing is already other question.
Daft comment to make especially when you don't reveal your so-called 'accurate methods'. If it is that obvious that some of the tracks are compressed when played back or ripped in a lossless format then any analysis or methods you may have are not needed as your ears can already determine there is a problem. It's worse when you have a CD pressed with slightly higher quality compressed sources (even including at least 192kbps equivalent mp3) which are harder to detect without some techy stuff involved. All this depends as MelomaniX mentioned on the person, style of music, equipment used and whether they notice or even care about such issues.
No errors here, I don't use Audiochecker, I have my own methods of spectral analysis that are way more accurate than any program. And this might be the most obvious mp3's I've ever seen.
This maxi, except for the Marc Et Claude remix, is pressed from EXTREMELY LOW QUALITY mp3s. Do NOT waste your money on this. They're somewhere between 64kbps and 92kbps. They even sound terrible on the sound clips here.
I wonder if the double vinyl on Radikal Rec. also suffers these problems?
Absolutely true, this is the most terrible sound I've ever heard on CD, most mp3s @ 128 kbps I came across with sound WAY better. I think anyone who bought this must have a right to get one's money back. Shame on Radical Records for this, and shame on anybody who's responsible for this release any other releases converted from mp3!I've just removed this CD from my wantlist.Only one track is of proper quality: Janeiro (Marc et Claude & Paul Hutsch Remix).
