dont buy from "ohyesimherestill", he is selling one copy after another... bootleg!
100% FACT!!!!!! THE CASSETTE TAPE IS A BOOTLEG! I lived, worked in a local tape shop, and know who COPIED these for stores in SF AREA BACK IN 1984-86! THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL! We printed covers on photo copiers! We cut music mag photos, logo's and taped them on paper, cut them to case size and photocopied them in VOLUME! Just like boot LPs, tapes were made by EVERYONE!
Hi there. I need some help. I´ve found the Metal Up Your Ass Unofficial "Music For Nations" Vinyl in the Colour "White" for 20€ on a german Flea Market. But I can´t find any infos about that colour anywhere. I know they´re from France and where released in different colours but know one knows about a white one (not clear or transparent white). I´ve allready asked some metallica vinyl forums about that, but nobody knows about this one. I hope someone here knows about that issue. Thanks
Couldn't resist adding my two cents as a blank-cassette nerd: there's no way the tape in these scans is a 1982 vintage; it wasn't around until at least '85.Compare: bootleg??
Remove all this bay area thrashers and live s*** Its NLTL with fake audience noise. Doesn't count.
10k copies coming on cassette this RSD! Not as exquisitely authentic as the true original (<snide 1920's guy voice> I liked them better before "Kill'em All"), but fun to own for $10.
How on Earth does one confirm any copies of this as official and not bootleged?
It's very difficult, if no entirely impossible, as the bootleggers often pay close attention to detail. I would operate under the assumption that any copy you see for sale on Discogs or eBay is 99.9999% for sure a bootleg. I believe most if not all of the copies sold here came from the same seller, a widely known bootlegger... what are the chances someone just happened to have multiple copies sitting in storage for 30+ years?
If not one of the most sought out demo tapes in Metal, and surely one of the best demo tapes out there.
Neither. It would be cool though.
